Thomas Evans

Tom currently serves as the Vice President of Cybersecurity and IT Services within the DoD Programs Division for Oasis Systems, located in Rockville, MD just outside of Washington, DC. Tom joined the former MAR Division in 2006 as the company’s Network and System Administrator and began working with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) performing FISMA compliance support shortly thereafter. Since that time, he has rapidly progressed into pivotal roles with increasing responsibility on several contracts most notably on the enterprise-wide Cybersecurity Program Support Services (CSPSS) contract supporting the NRC.

He has over 22 years of progressive technical and management experience related to cybersecurity and IT. In his current role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of contracts under the Division’s Cybersecurity and IT services group. He directs work contracted under GSA IT Schedule 70, GSA Alliant Small Business GWAC, Department of Homeland Security EAGLE II contract, and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission BPA. Amongst these contracts he oversees programs related to cybersecurity inspections and regulatory development for SCADA and Industrial Control Systems (ICS), FISMA compliance and RMF cybersecurity, cybersecurity specific training and awareness programs, enterprise-wide software development and operations support, as well as Big Data ETL and data analytics support.

He is responsible for staffing, financial tracking, program oversight, and business development for all programs and contracts within his Business Unit. In addition, he oversees the operations of the Oasis Cyber Innovation Center (OCIC) which provides for collaborative partnerships and a cyber lab environment for our team members and customers. He is a graduate of Hood College with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Tom is located at the Oasis Rockville, MD office.
