Daniel Hackenberg

Dan is Vice President of Business Development for the DoD Division at Oasis Systems. He has over 40 years of engineering design, systems development, operations, business development and management experience. For Oasis Systems, he supports the growth and development of the company’s systems engineering and integration efforts focused on the Department of Defense and other federal government agency requirements. Dan has responsibility for expansion of the technical services and solutions offered by Oasis supporting national programs within the defense and intelligence communities as well as other areas of research, test, evaluation, logistics, and program management including ship, submarine and autonomous systems, maritime C4ISR and specialized laboratory and facility operations and modernization.

Over a period of 12 years, Dan held various operations and management positions at MAR Incorporated, including Director of Engineering, and Sr. Vice President – Chief Technology Officer prior to the company’s acquisition by Oasis Systems in 2015.  Previously, over a 14 year period, he was a Division Vice President at Anteon Corporation and held senior technical, management and consulting positions at Cayo Hueso Services, Analysis and Technology Incorporated and at Vector Research Corporation providing engineering, scientific, and information technology services for a wide range of DoD and Intelligence Community clients supporting high-priority development and operational programs. His prior employment also includes 10 years of systems design, project and production engineering, and operations management roles at Benthos, Incorporated, Ocean Systems and at Mobil Oil Corporation.

Dan is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) with an Associate’s degree in Electronics and Oceanographic Technology. In addition, he has received graduate level education in intelligence and national security policy and program management from the Institute of World Politics (IWP). Dan is a member of the Marine Technology Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, and the National Defense Industrial Association. Dan operates out of the Rockville, MD office. He is married, has three adult sons, three daughters-in-law and seven grandkids.
