Kevin Veach Promoted to President, MAR Division of Oasis Systems
I am pleased to announce the appointment and promotion of Kevin Veach to President of the MAR Division of Oasis Systems.
Kevin is assuming responsibilities from Mike Norcio who is departing after an extraordinary 43-year career with MAR.
It has been my privilege to work alongside Mike for these past 18 months. Since I first met Mike I was impressed with the quality company he built and grew under his leadership. It was clear to me that he put people first because he hired and developed quality, dedicated, professional, competent and talented people; built long-term relationships with them; and created a strong and dedicated team.
During our transition time, I continued to see his commitment to people by his “high-touch” style including significant travel to the field to communicate and affirm people at every level of the organization. Since the sale of the company, this commitment to the MAR team continued with his consistent and appropriate advocating for people every time we had policy discussions relating to people’s well being.
Further, I deeply admired the quality company Mike built with an impressive diversity of customers from DOD to NRC, DOI and CFTC and with the extraordinary depth of capability from cybersecurity, software development, specialized engineering projects, etc. (CEO Corner continued from page 2) Accomplishing this required remarkable intellect, energy, creativity, innovation and courage. Every day during the 18-month transition Mike continued to exhibit all those characteristics and didn’t let up for a single second such that he delivered the best year of business results in the company’s history; demonstrating all the competence and energy he used to build the company was the same to sustain it after the sale.
His integrity in meeting all the representations and commitments of the sale, I believe are unparalleled in acquisition annals.
I deeply respect what he has accomplished over the decades with MAR; and appreciate and value all his contributions to Oasis during the transition. I could not have expected or asked for more or better support.
I know that you, as well as I will miss him and wish him every success in the next season of his career and life; but I am glad that Mike has agreed to continue to be available to help us as the occasions warrant.
Kevin is no stranger to us having joined MAR-Oasis in the beginning of this year after a successful and stellar 29-year career at premier defense contractors including CSRA, Computer Sciences Corporation and Nichols Research. His open, collegial and collaborative style is consistent with the MAR and Oasis culture and values. His industry knowledge and relationships; and his professionalism and leadership are all the attributes necessary for a smooth transition and vision for the future of the Division.
As an accomplished engineer and with deep DoD and Federal domain experience, he brings the skills and capability that will help the MAR division stay on its present successful course and lead it to new levels of growth and vitality.
Please join me in congratulating Kevin on his new responsibilities.
