Oasis sponsored the Annual Battle Run 5k Run/Walk, at the Minute Man National Historic Park’s Battle Road Trail in Lexington, MA. The trail connects the historic sites from Concord to Lexington that launched the American Revolution on April 19, 1775.
Bob and Jackie Sanguinet represented Oasis for this year’s run. The walk/run gives all proceeds to the Massachusetts National Guard Foundation. This foundation is a nonprofit that assists members of the National Guard who are deployed, provides professional development opportunities and provides scholarships. The race follows a reasonably flat and well-marked trail connecting various historic sites from Concord to Lexington that launched the American Revolution on April 19, 1775. After the race there was a free buffet at Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Bar, and race participants also received a free beer ticket! Bob finished third for his age bracket and Jackie finished fourth.
